Solid double v stitch granny square crochet pattern






This granny square is an easier version of the classic one as it uses the double V stitch to make it look prettier and much faster to make, this is similar to the solid granny square as the V stitches are worked in every chain 1 space of the v stitch and corners.  Materials 

Medium worsted yarn, ex(red heart super saver) 

5 mm crochet hook Or any yarn of your choice with the recommended crochet hook on the label

 Measurements

 4 rows: 14/14 cm 

Gauge 10 cm: 12sts/ 6rows 12 sts of single dc

Dvs : double v stitch: 2 incomplete dc joined together, ch1, 2 incomplete dc joined together

Written pattern

Ch 4, join to form a ring

Row 1: yarn over, insert the hook into the ring , work an inc dc, repeat one more time, pull

through all 3 loops, ch1, work 2 inc dc joined tog. ch2, dvs *3. Ch2, join to the 1st top dc.

Row 2: sl st into the ch1 sp of the dvs, work a *dvs in the ch1 sp. In the corner (dvs, ch2, dvs)**.

Repeat from * to ** till the end of the square, join to the 1st top dc.

Row 3: sl st into the ch1 sp of the dvs, work a *dvs in the ch1 sp, dvs in each ch1 sp. In the

corner (dvs, ch2, dvs)**. Repeat from * to ** till the end of the square, join to the 1st top dc.

Repeat row 3 till the required width of your project.
