Simple double crochet Beanie for beginners
This is a very easy beanie to make if you like to achieve a simple one, double crochet stitch makes it fast and quick and it is a good practice for future more complicated beanies.

Written Pattern:
for this project I'm using lion brand pound of love and 5.5 mm hook
I'll start with a magic loop and I'll chain 4,
in the first chain from the hook I'll make 10 dc, join to the top dc.
round 2, ch2, 2 dc in every st till the end of the round, total 22 dc
round 3, ch 2, 2 dc in the first st, 1 dc in the next st, I'll alternate 2,1,2,1 till the end of the round, join with a slip st
round 4, ch2, 2dc in the first st, 1 dc in the next 2 st, alternate 2,1,1,2,1,1, till the end of the round.
Round 5, ch2, 2dc in the first st, 1 dc in the next 3 st, alternate same way till end of the round.
Round 6, ch2, 2 dc in the first st, 1 dc in the next 4 st, same process, 2,1,1,1,1,2 till end of the round
Round 7, ch2, 2dc in the first st, 1 dc in the next 5 st, alternate till end of the round, do not join.
Now working in spiral, instead of joining , work 1 dc on top of the next st, make 1 dc in every stitch for 10 more rows, you can place a stitch marker where you started working in spiral.
Here i am done with the hat and I added 1 row of single crochet to make the finishing look neater when you fasten off.
