Crochet the Sunburst granny square

 This is one of the very pretty granny square pattern one can achieve, it enlarges our creations choices when we want to make something other than the traditional granny square but from the same family.

I love the way it looks when using different colors, for now, summer time, it would be ideal to make a shawl using this pattern which is already in my list, a rectangular one using the join as you go stitch, it ll add a pop of color especially if you are wearing one color outfit.

I also recently made the daisy granny square which is also pretty and quick to achieve, a pillow would be perfect for that one.

Materials:

(similar): Alize bahar cotton yarn

Crochet hook: 3.5 MM

Abbreviations:

ch: chain

st: stitch

tr: treble

Written Pattern:

Ch 4, join to the 1st ch to form a ring.

Round 1: Ch 3, 15 dc in the ring, join, fasten off.

Round 2 : using the new color make a magic loop, join in any st and ch 3, in the same st, yarn over, pull the loop as high as the ch3, repeat the same 2 more times, you must have 7 loops on your hook, join all together, ch1. 

In the next st, repeat the same (yarn over, insert the hook in the st, pull through as high as you can, do it total of 4 times, you must have 7 loops on your hook, pull through all, ch 1) for every st till the end of the round, join to the beginning ch 3. fasten off. You must have 15 puffs.

Round 3 : insert the new color the same previous way, ch 3, make 3 incomplete dc in the same st, pull through all, ch2. in the next st, make 4 incomplete dc, pull through all, ch2, repeat the same till the end of the round. Fasten off.

Row 4 : join a new color again, in any space, ch4, 2tr in the same space, ch2, 3 tr, *3 dc in the next 3 spaces, (3tr, ch2, 3tr in the next space)**, repeat from * to ** till end of the row, join with a sl st. fasten off.
