Solid granny square crochet pattern *







This pattern is how to crochet the solid granny square with an added video tutorial for left-handed and right-handed, it is straight forward and repetitive for many rows as you wish to make


Materials

Any yarn of your choice with the crochet hook recommended on the label

Here I have used medium worsted yarn with 6 mm crochet hook

Abbreviations

Ch: chain

St: stitch

Sl st: slip stitch

Dc: double crochet

Sp: space

Written Pattern

Ch3, join to the 1st ch to form a ring.

Row 1: ch3, 2 dc in the ring, ch 2, 3 dc in the ring, ch2, 3dc in the ring, ch2, 3 dc in the ring, ch 2, join on top of the first ch3.

Row 2: Ch3, 1 dc in the same sp as ch 3 ( space is the previous ch2), 1 dc in the next 2 st, in the next space ( 2dc, ch2, 2dc) 1 dc crochet in the next 2 st, in the next space (2dc,ch2,2dc) repeat till the last space where you'll make 2dc in the space ch2, join to the top st.

Row 3 : Ch3, 1 dc in the same sp as ch 3 ( space is the previous ch2, corner), dc in the next sts, in the next space ( 2dc, ch2, 2dc) dc crochet in the next sts, in the next space (2dc,ch2,2dc) repeat till the last space where you'll make 2dc in the space ch2, join to the top st.

Repeat row 3 for as many rows as you wish your project to be.
