Chevron stitch beanie crochet pattern*
This pattern is a repetition of one row only, it is worked in the back loop to give the textured look. It is worked from bottom to top and then stitched together.

Working on the back loop only.
Row 1: *sk 2, 1 sc in the next 8 sts, 3 sc in the next st, sc in the next 8 sts**, sk 2, sc in the next 8 sts, repeat from * to ** till the end of the row, sc in the last st.
Row 2: ch 1, *sk 2, sc in the next 8 sts, 3 sc in the next st, sc in the next 8 sts**, repeat from * to ** till the end of the row, sc in the last st.
Row 3 to 42: repeat row 2.
Joining the 2 sides together, sl st in every st to close, using now a tapestry needle, pass the needle through every stitch in the crown till the end, pull tight and stitch to close the crown. Fasten off.
