Crochet a Pineapple hot pad crochet pattern

Pineapple hot pad

SoI found many  patterns in pinterest and none of them was available to follow, some cute ones and some average, I also found one that was using the bobble stitch which looked very pretty, but for now I can't take another long project, so this was feasible within a short period of time comparing to other projects.

I have written this pattern for you from scratch as I had to repeat the project few times because I couldn't manage to have the pineapple shape, and at last after repeating it 4 times I managed to finish it and write the correct pattern.

So for this project I have used a cotton yarn with 3.75 MM hook

Written pattern

Pineapple: Ch 24.
Row 1 : 2dc in the 3rd ch from the hook, sk 2, 3dc in the next ch, sk 2, 3dc in the next ch, repeat till end of the row.

Row 2 : ch3, turn, 2dc in the same st as ch3, 3dc in the next space and in every space until end of the row, 1dc in the very last st.

Row 3 : Ch3, 3dc in the next space and in every space till end of the row, 3dc in the last st.

Row 4 : Ch3, turn, 3dc in the next space and in every space until end of the row.

Row 5: repeat row 3

Row 6: repeat row 4, alternate between rows till row 12 .

Row 13: ch3, 3dc in the next space and every space, dc on top of the last ch.

Row14 : ch3, turn, 3dc in the next space and every space, in the last space do only 1dc.

Row 15 : ch3, turn, sk first space, 3dc in the next space and every space till end of the row.

Row 16 : ch3, turn, 3dc in the next space and in every space,till end of the row.

Row 17: ch3, turn, 3 dc in the next space and in every space till end, in the last space do only 1 dc.

Row 18 : ch3, turn, 3 dc in the next space and every space till end of the row.

Row 19 : ch3, turn, 3dc in the next space and every space, you should end up with 3dc (cluster) in 3
spaces like in the picture. FASTEN OFF.

From any stitch on the outer pineapple join with a sl knot, sc in every st around the pineapple.
Make 2 rows of sc st.

Leaves :

Leaf 1
Insert the green color with a slip stitch, ch 15, 1tr Crochet on the 5th ch from the hook,, 1tr Crochet in every st, sl st in the joining stitch on top of the pineapple.
Leaf 2

SC in the next stitch, ch9, dc in the 4th ch from the hook and in every ch, join with a sl st to the beginning st,
Leaf 3

Sc in the next st, ch 15, dc in the 4th ch from the hook and in every ch, join.

Repeat the three leaves till end of the row.
